The San Antonio Spurs are gearing up for an exciting week in Austin. The team will bring NBA action and a host of fan-friendly activities to the Texas capital. This year, the Austin games will be mid-season, offering a welcome break during the team’s road trip.

Locked On Spurs’ Jeff Garcia and Spurs’ Senior Vice President of Strategic Growth and Deputy General Counsel, Brandon James, discuss the organization’s commitment to meeting fans where they are. Over the past three years, the Spurs have played in Mexico City, Paris, and Austin, while the G League team has even ventured to Laredo and Corpus Christi.

The highlight of Austin week will be the game against the Phoenix Suns on February 20th, featuring Kevin Durant’s return to the city where he played college ball. This nationally televised TNT game is a testament to the enthusiasm and support we’ve received in Austin. It’ll be a true home environment at the Moody Center, showcasing the newest Spur, De’Aaron Fox, to the Texas audience for the first time.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. There will be a game against the Detroit Pistons on February 23rd will be followed by a concert from Shakey Graves. There will also be a massive tailgate party at Downright Hotel before Thursday’s game, running from 4 to 7 PM.

There will be a watch party for the NBA All-Star Game on February 18th at Boldenacre South. Fans can cheer on Victor Wembanyama as he represents the Spurs in the Western Conference All-Star lineup.

Throughout the week, fans will have access to free coffee at Joe’s and Manana Coffee Shops from 7-11 AM.
