Suns Prove Their Resiliency Yet Again At Intuit Dome

The Phoenix Suns were a lot of things in the 2023-24 season, but resilient was not one of them.

They were historically bad in fourth quarters, as they walked the ball up the court slowly and could hardly string together two or three solid possessions without a turnover or bad shot.

Thursday night’s (spooky) win over the Clippers proved how much that has changed. Down 21 in the first half and 18 at halftime, the Suns looked every bit as ugly as they did much of last season. They threw the ball around the gym and were dogging it on defense. But what matters is they turned it around.

So far this season, the Suns are 3-0 in clutch games and +18 in the fourth quarter.

The comeback at the Intuit Dome on Halloween started before the fourth quarter, though. The Suns made 15 straight shots to open the third, and tallied 13 assists in the period. Point guard Tyus Jones alone had seven assists. In an instant, they were back in it.

On today’s episode, we discuss the comeback and what it shows about the Suns. Devin Booker kept them alive in the second and third before closing the game in the fourth. Ryan Dunn stepped into Bradley Beal’s starting slot again and scored a career-high 16 while guarding James Harden.

Even Kevin Durant got in on the fun late with two huge blocks.

Nothing was clicking until everything did.

It’s night and day from how this team looked just six months ago, and it’s hard not to be hyped.
