The Milwaukee Bucks continued their impressive run, securing their eighth victory in the last 10 games with a commanding performance against the Utah Jazz. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton led the charge, combining for an astounding 92 points out of the team’s total 125.
Despite a slow start, the Bucks quickly found their rhythm and never looked back. The Jazz managed to cut the lead to three points on a couple of occasions, but Milwaukee’s firepower proved too much to handle. Antetokounmpo and Lillard each poured in 35 points, while Middleton bounced back from a subpar outing against the Clippers with an efficient 22-point game.
What stood out most was the efficiency of our big three. The starting lineup, led by Antetokounmpo and Lillard, shot an incredible 30 of 45 from the field. When you factor in Middleton’s contribution, the trio went 40 of 58, showcasing a level of offensive prowess that’s hard to match.
Doc Rivers praised the team’s offensive flow, noting that the scoring came organically without anyone forcing the issue. This natural rhythm was evident in how the Bucks hunted for the most efficient shots throughout the game. The team finished with a staggering 61% field goal percentage, including an impressive 77% on combined attempts from corner threes and at the rim.
Defensively, Brook Lopez stood out with his rim protection, reminding us why keeping him close to the basket is crucial for our defensive strategy. His presence was felt throughout his 35 minutes on the court, contributing significantly to the team’s overall defensive effort.
The Role Players Step Up
While the big three deservedly grabbed the headlines, the contributions from our role players were equally important. Andre Jackson Jr. had a standout performance, playing 26 minutes and making his presence felt with his energy and defensive intensity. His ability to find ways to be effective from the dunker spot is a testament to the work he’s been putting in with the coaching staff.
Taurean Prince also made his mark, dishing out a season-high eight assists. His playmaking ability showcased the team’s commitment to ball movement and finding the open man, even when his own shot wasn’t falling.
