There are three main reasons why the rebuilding Wizards are headed in the right direction.
1. They have seasoned veterans who provide three main functions. First, they provide production while young pieces prove worthy of taking on more responsibility. Second, to mentor the young core on and off the court. Lastly, to be flipped for young players or draft picks in return.
2. They have a revamped Scouting Department and a Head Coach who prioritizes the Development of young talent. Head Coach Brian Keefe has helped develop players such as Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden.
3. A young core. They not only have a young foundation in place with players like Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr but they can look forward to adding more talent as lottery team in the 2025 and 2026 NBA Drafts.
