EMPTYING THE NOGGIN - Pelicans historic comeback

• Up 20 down 20. Tale of two halves. Jazz lead by 20 at halftime and then got outscored by 20 in the 2nd half and lost in overtime.

• The first half the Jazz played with great tempo. In the complete opposite of the other night when the Pelicans couldn’t miss to start the night the Jazz couldn’t miss to start the night. The Jazz were near perfect in the first quarter and lead by 38-19 at the end of the quarter.

• The Jaz hit threes, played with tempo and the offense looked like it was running without any obstruction at all from the Pelicans. They were hitting rollers, they were finding the corner 3. Everything they were running was being run to precision without an obstruction at all. Then the Pelicans picked moved their pick up points and started playing much more physical basketball and the Jazz couldn’t get the ball movement or the spacing they had in the first half of the game.

• The Jazz closed the game with Isaiah Collier, Keyonte George, Brice Sensabaugh, Kyle Filipowski and Walker Kessler. The was the first time we have seen these 5 on the floor together and certainly the first time in the clutch. The offense got very stagnant, but it was a good experience for them to try to learn and figure it out.

• After the first quarter the Jazz shot 32% and in the 2nd half the Jazz shot 28.5% from the field.

• The start of the game was pretty amazing. The Jazz offensive rating after the first quarter was a 1.6 and the Pelicans offense was a .8

• The Jazz had never lost a 20 point 2nd half lead in franchise history before tonight they were 126-0.

• This was only the 2nd time the Jazz lost a 25 point lead in a game, previously they were 256-1

• This is the third time a team has lost a 25 point lead in a game this year, Miami lost to Orlando and the Spurs lost to the Clippers.

• The Isaiah Colier and Keyonte George back court continue to be interesting. Keyonte is a better player when he is playing off the ball the majority of the time. Though they shot a combined 13 of 40 which is not good enough. They did combine for 18 assists.

Keyonte needs to flush away games where he shoots 30% from the field and 20% from three.

• Kyle Filipowski had 17 rebounds. A new career high .

• CJ McCollulm had 45 and owned the 4th quarter with 19 points.
