The Wizards had a front-row seat to history but at least they’re headed home after a long road-trip.

Last night, throughout a 130-108 drubbing at the hands of the Mavs, the Wizards witnessed history as Klay Thompson broke the franchise record for three-pointers made in a quarter with seven in the 1st quarter. Dallas was the last stop on their 6-game West Coast road trip and they are now headed to the friendly confines of Washington D.C. Let’s get into the good, the bad, and the ugly from last night’s game.

The good - Bilal Coulibaly

B-Coul aka Bilal Coulibaly was good last night. He led the Wizards with 16 points and provided his usual All-Defensive team level defense. Jordan Poole also had a solid night with 15 points even though his three-point shot wasn’t dropping but he used his speed and paint penetration to make plays for others.

The bad - Kyle Kuzma

Kuzma struggled to find his rhythm and shot last night but that was not the problem. The problem was, that he couldn’t back up his words. In an interview with The Athletics Josh Robbins following the team’s matchup with the Suns, he made it known that creating opportunities for himself came before helping with the development of the younger players. Well, he missed the mark last night.

The ugly - Perimeter defense

The Perimeter defense was so last night. As usual, the closeouts were slow and the Mavs dropped 20 threes. While the defensive problem won’t go away this season, it’s a problem that has to be addressed in the offseason.
