· Starless game with the Utah Jazz playing without Lauri Markkanen, Jordan Clarkson, John Collins and Walker Kessler. The Warriors without Johnathan Kuminga, Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Both team came in struggling. The Jazz had lost 9 of 10 and the Warriors have lost 20 of 30.
· The game had high effort on both sides even at times the level of play got a little ragged and guys couldn’t finish plays.
· The Jazz started brilliantly hitting 10 of their first 12 shots, but then lost their rhythm and hit just 12 of their next 32 shots in the first half. Jazz shot over 50% for the game.
· The Warriors won this on the edges, they hit more threes, they had more free throws, they had most offensive rebounds and they had fewer turnovers. This allowed them to shoot a lower percentage and still win the game.
· Jazz had the ball down 100 to 99 and a chance to take their first lead since the 1st quarter. Keyonte George pulled for three and missed and then the Jazz made a a series of mistakes that allowed the Warriors to jump back out to a 9 point lead. Jazz failed to execute a dribble handoff, they lost a defensive rebound off a free throw and few other mishaps and the Warriors took control.
· Kevon Looney, a veteran from the championship era, changed the game. When he entered he stopped the Jazz ability to get to the rim and he helped facility the Warriors offense. He was the game changer. Will Hardy singled him out pre-game as a player who had caused the Jazz a world of trouble over the years and he did again tonight.
· Collin Sexton carried the offense with 30 points. The Bull is a Bonafide bucket getter. He scored 30 on 19 shots tonight without a 2nd scorer on the floor. That is pretty awesome when the other team knows you are the only scorer and still can drop 30 with that level of efficiency.
· Isaiah Collier had 12 points and 8 asists in 32 minutes. He continues to get better.
· Keyonte George took 11 free throws. This has been a consistent trend recently that Keyonte is getting to the line.
· Drew Eubanks continues to give the Jazz everything he has. He could really help a few teams down the stretch. He would be an upgrade for at least 7 Western Conference teams as a back up center.
· Jazz have not won a game they trailed going into the 4th quarter this season
